This is a course for students who have passed USAAIO Round 2, raising their chances of making Team USA after passing USAAIO Camp and then building their skills all the way to the IOAI·IAIO finalsthat follow. Since the Camp format changes every year, instead of a pre-standardized curriculum we use a blend of general coaching and one-on-one mentoring in responsive operationDoes it.

How It Works
responsive operation
Camp format changes yearly
By the time they finish U4, students have the pre-Camp intensity to maximize their learning efficiency at Camp, and they raise their selection odds through research readiness (reading papers and quickly understanding codebases) and Team USA selection simulations. The key is to raise theoretical intensity before entering Camp so that learning efficiency during Camp is maximized.
The goal of U4 is not to complete a fixed curriculum, but to adapt immediately to the Camp format that changes every year. It's built on responsive operation that revises the coaching content as soon as the Camp format is announced.
USAAIO Passing Round 2is the prerequisite, and Team USA eligibility (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, or enrollment in a U.S. middle or high school) is required. Canadian students cannot be selected for Team USA, so they're blocked at the IAIO/IOAI competition stage. For Round 2 prep, see U3; for the full track, see USAAIO Prep Curriculum Hub reference.
Instead of a fixed weekly schedule, U4 runs four modules whose weighting is adjusted to fit each student's situation and whatever Camp information has been made public.
Camp blends lectures, problem-solving, and team activities. We raise pre-study intensity to maximize learning efficiency during Camp.
Skill in reading the latest AI papers and quickly understanding codebases. We prepare for what Camp may cover.
We simulate the individual evaluation criteria within Camp (the exact format is undisclosed each year) using hypotheses based on past information.
If selected for Team USA, you compete in two international competitions, IOAI and IAIO. We study the format and culture of both competitions in advance.
Responsive operation principle: The USAAIO Camp format changes every year. Rather than running a pre-standardized curriculum, U4 favors responsive operation that revises coaching immediately as soon as the Camp format is announced.
※ Recommended roughly 10 hours (one-on-one); varies widely by student, with self-study separate. Range of 6–14 hours.
Students log their pre-study intensity and progress in a journal, and record and update weaknesses and strategy in one-on-one mentoring.
We compile materials for studying, in advance, the format and culture of the two international competitions you'll compete in if selected for Team USA.
Team USA activity and USAAIO Camp are the highest-value assets for a U.S. college admissions portfolio, and competing in IOAI·IAIO means qualifying for two international competitions.

It's limited to students who have passed USAAIO Round 2. Team USA eligibility (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, or enrollment in a U.S. middle or high school) is required, and Canadian students cannot be selected for Team USA.
No. The USAAIO Camp format changes every year, so U4 runs responsively rather than being standardized in advance. We revise the coaching content immediately as soon as the Camp format is announced.
It's built around four modules delivered through one-on-one mentoring: theory deep-dives, AI research readiness (reading papers and quickly understanding codebases), Team USA selection simulations, and early exposure to the IOAI·IAIO finals.
If selected for Team USA, you compete in two international competitions, IOAI and IAIO. We study the format and culture of both competitions in advance. For specific dates and locations, check the USAAIO competition guide.
No. It's a recommended figure on a one-on-one basis and varies widely by student (roughly 6–14 hours, with self-study separate). We adjust the amount of mentoring to fit the Camp format and each student's situation.
After you pass Round 2, we design coaching responsively as soon as the Camp format is announced. First, we check your Team USA eligibility together.
